We are sad to advise of the passing of our dear friend & Vice Patron of the club since 2003 Noel Bergin today.
Noel joined Mosman in 1970 from Tasmania and has been a fixture at the club ever since.
After a successful playing career he moved into Administration, and was President for 8 years, Secretary for 12, Head Selector, Scorer, Delegate to Cricket NSW for 15 years, and a member of the Board of the Australian Cricket Board. Noel was made a member of the Order Of Australia in 2001 for his services to Cricket.
Noel was instrumental in delivering a lot of the facilities that the club enjoys today.
Noel's wise advice to young players about cricket and life over the past 40 years has had an influence on literally hundreds of Mosman players, and is something that will be sorely missed around the club. The highest individual award any player at Mosman can achieve is the Noel Bergin Medal - the best and fairest award each season.
Out thoughts are with Noel's children and grand children at this time.
