The Brewarrina Brothers cricket team play in the far north west of NSW
The town of just over 1,000 people on the banks of the Barwon River is hot and dry, but rich in history. The stone fish traps in the river are estimated to be 40,000 years old, possibly the oldest man made structure on earth today.
Cricket in Bre is not just a Saturday afternoon past time. It is an important social and community activity, and gives young people strong role models to follow.
Mosman CC is pleased to have helped the Bre Brothers in a small way. Long term Mosman player Dave Stepto who hails from Brewarrina collected and delivered unused clothing and equipment to the club last week.
We look forward to expanding this in the future. Good luck to our Western Whales!
