What is Milo In2Cricket

The MILO in2CRICKET Program is designed to teach children the basic skills of cricket whilst being involved in an environment that is fun, safe, healthy and most importantly, one which fosters the development of social skills and friendships.

It is not just the participants that benefit from the MILO in2CRICKET program. Clubs and schools that have implemented the Program are providing a clear first step for kids on the cricket pathway. The next step on this pathway can lead straight to club or school junior teams.

The long term health of cricket in clubs or schools will also be more secure as a result of participants in the MILO in2CRICKET program joining junior sides.

Parents also get a lot out of MILO in2CRICKET, as it enables them to feel safe in the knowledge that their children are participating in great activities and making new friends in a fun, safe and healthy environment. Parents who volunteer to help out their child’s MILO in2CRICKET clinic will also get the satisfaction of knowing they have contributed to their child’s experience and helped increase the quality of the program for all participants!

Coordinators and volunteers are the lifeblood of MILO in2CRICKET and benefit from knowing they are helping secure the future of Australian cricket and are playing a very large role in making cricket Australia’s favourite sport.

To ensure each child gains the maximum benefits whilst participating in the MILO in2CRICKET program, we have tailored lesson plans and activities for kids of all ages.

Have a Go

The MILO in2CRICKET ”Have A Go" program has been designed for children aged five to seven years to introduce them to the game of cricket. It ensures all children develop the fundamental skills required to participate in cricket. Children participate in activities designed to improve the various skills of the game. These activities generally take the shape of modified games, ensuring the participants are constantly involved and using their skills in fun, fast moving activities.

Have a Game

Designed with a game focus, the MILO in2CRICKET “Have A Game” program is for children aged seven to 10 years.

The lesson plans focus on various ‘game sense’ activities, drills and provide participants with extended opportunities to participate in modified games. MILO in2CRICKET “Have A Game” can also be used as a Modified Kanga Cricket competition within the centre. This will allow the participants to play a modified ‘team based’ game of each week in preparation for their transition into junior competitions.
